How Candlelight became a succubus
REFERENCE POST! I’ll put this in the FAQ so people don’t have to trudge through 8 pages of (unfinished) story.
When Candlelight was very little, a powerful witch placed a curse on her. This witch’s name is Bone Cold, the leader of the High Mountain Coven.
The curse was set to sacrifice Candlelight when she turned 19 and a half (The age of adulthood for witches). The curse hit her in the eye and damaged it, which is the reason for the eyepatch in the past.
Over 12 years, the dark magic inside of Candlelight festered and multiplied. By the time she was 19, the magic had reached titanic volumes…But it was still unusable, since Candlelight is not a unicorn.
Candlelight set out on a long journey to remove the curse on her, and she succeeded. In the process, she had to ‘die’ and give her soul away. This process took away her pony life, but allowed her to use the dark magic Bone Cold cursed her with.
Since Candlelight was charged up with so much dark magic, she became a high-ranking demon. She became a succubus because, to be honest, she was always able to charm other ponies very easily.
Now, her eyepatch seals away her demon-form (check the reference page!) and turns her into her (less intimidating) pony form. The patch can be on either side, just as long as it is over one of her eyes. She only eats the lust of ponies, but when starving, POSSIBLY turns to meat-eating.
(Bone Cold is still in power, but is very wary of Candlelight.)

Candlelight Song:
Candlelight Song is a 19 year old pony who has just gone through a very interesting change. In order to remove a curse placed upon her by an evil witch, a god-like being called ‘The All-seer’ turned her into a high-ranking succubus. Candlelight is the exact opposite of what one would suspect a succubus to be like
Candlelight is naive and innocent. She is very well known for being stupid, and is constantly making decisions that she regrets later. Not only this, but she is especially emotional, going from happy to sad to angry in a matter of minutes. Even so, she’s somewhat kind on the inside, I’m sure.
Her 'True Form’ is her default, but in order to disguise herself (and not to scare anypony!), she needs to turn into her 'Pony Form’. The key to this is…That’s right, her eye-patch. Candlelight’s eye-patch seals her magic away, and as long as she’s wearing it, her true form is hidden.
Her matchmaking job has taken the back burner to her new 'job’, though she still loves to create couples from time to time. It is her talent!

Background: She mysteriously appeared underneath the overhang to Candlelight’s shop. She had traveled a long way to get to Ponyville, but the rest of her history is currently unknown.

Persona: Though cheery and optimistic, Candlelight is more or less a complete ditz. She loves to make new friends, but she is very commonly viewed as slow-witted. She’s quick to get sad or confused, but she snaps out of it just as easily. Consequentially, her emotions sometimes jump all over the place. But she will do almost anything to cheer ponies up.
Background: When Candlelight was 4, her mother died from illness. Her father, who loved her mother more than life, left Candle and her then 12 year old sister Phantasmorical on their own. Candlelight thinks that it’s because he couldn’t bear to see reminders of his wife, but Phantasmorical remains very bitter about it. Candlelight’s sister took care of her until she was old enough to take care of herself.
In her 3rd year of school, a unicorn filly misfired a spell. The spell went wayward, and smacked into Candlelight’s right eye. Since then, her right eye has been a pale shade of silvery-blue, and almost completely blind.
She got her cutie mark at the wedding where her two best friends got married. She, of course, lit the spark to their relationship in the first place.
She is terrible at flying, and has failed her flyer’s test 8 times.
