You agree with your gruff, accented inner voice for the moment. You are an adult, and you can do just fine on your own. You can rendezvous with your friends later, but for now you choose the friendliest-looking house you can find. A few seconds after lightly knocking on the door, a blend of a birthday party host and a zombie raver opens it.
You are admittedly caught off guard by the sudden colorful explosion, and jump back in surprise (and mostly fear). But, after seeing the mare’s inviting expression and smelling the sweet candy, you sober up.
“Um…I like your costume, Miss…” You awkwardly break the ice. “My name’s Candlelight, and uh, y'know, tonight’s Halloween-”
No really? It’s Halloween? You don’t say! You inwardly roll your eyes at your dumb statement and command yourself to stop rambling.
“…Tr-Trick or Treat?”
You manage to genuinely grin as you hold out your bag.
CANDLESTUCK
(I’m turning my tumblrpon trick or treat into a __stuck adventure where my lovely followers get to determine how Candle’s night goes. Send in commands to make her…do stuff!)
Your name is Candlelight Song, an 18 year old filly living in Ponyville. Well, that whole thing isn’t your name, just the first two words. The sun has finally set on October 31st, signalling the start of Trick-Or-Treating.
You have never been trick-or-treating before, you were always the one who stayed at home and ate all the candy. But tonight is the first night where you will go to other’s houses for free candy. And ’Free’ and ’Candy’ are two of your favorite words.
But, you’re not sure what to do first. You suddenly feel a little self conscious about asking random ponies to give you candy. Many of your friends are trick-or-treating at this very moment (distance isn’t an issue, thanks to your Super Fast Flying Broom). Maybe you should meet up with one of them? Or, should you buck up and just start trick or treating on your own?
What will you do?
