A not-so-welcome visitor has arrived. As Candlelight opens the door, she sees Bone Cold standing outside. She looks very obviously miffed and a bit uncomfortable. Getting over the initial shock of having her would-be-killer standing at her doorstep, Candlelight notices some other things.

There are slips of paper stuffed into every possible place on Bold Cold. They are stuffed into her hair, in her metal collar, pinned to her ears, and it seems that her entire, floor length dress is lined with them. These slips of paper seem to be the cause of Bone Cold’s discomfort. They are stamped with one of Princess Celestia’s sigils. Bone Cold doesn’t speak, but instead pushes past Candlelight into her house. A few slips of paper become detached from her and flutter out behind the witch leader.

Bone Cold sits at Candle’s table, still silent and seething from whatever happened.

Another strange visitor has arrived.

Bone Cold: I am flattered that you think that Candlelight is my daughter! Well, as much as I would like that to be true, Candlelight’s mother is dead, as you should know by now.

I am not a succubus, but I am a demon. I sacrificed my morality for the power I have now, as leader of the largest and most powerful witch coven in Equestria. This was over 300 years ago.

I am glad I frighten you, for I believe that is the intent.

Candlelight: …B-Bone…

Bone Cold: You can’t even speak properly. You really are about to die, are you not?

Candlelight: How…?

Bone Cold: I felt a powerful energy fading. I had a hunch it was you, with how incompetent you are. Enough talk for now.

(Bone Cold kneels in front of Candlelight and plunges her creamy hoof into the small bag at her hip. Pulling out a glowing, wispy ball, she shoves it into Candlelight’s mouth.)

Bone Cold: It is a soul. Fresh, as well.. Swallow it quickly.

(Candlelight immediately jerks upright, her eye wide and all of her vibrant color returned.)

Bone Cold: “I hope this answers both of your questions.”

Bone Cold: “But what could it possibly be? Does Candlelight have an ally following her, that is powerful enough to disconnect my watchers with such speed? …We need to switch tactics. If nothing is done, we are blind to their movements.”

We take this moment to switch perspectives! now, we are in the ‘lair’ of Bone Cold and her Council of witches. They have received news that watchers, robotic ponies that send messages to the Head Watch (The pony in the first three panels), have been dropping off the radar.

These watchers were being used to track Candlelight and Pumpkin Patch, and follow every move they make. Without them, the Council and Bone Cold can’t asses their movements, and thus, are blind to their actions. Bone Cold is convinced that something is going around and manually disconnecting the watchers.

You may ask Bone Cold or the Council anything now! But, some questions might not be answered due to spoilers!
