If you have no damn idea what’s going on in Candlelight’s story right now, sit back and have no fear! I’ve created a recap just for you!

When Candlelight was 7 years old, a strange brown filly misfired a spell into her right eye. The eye was blinded, and it turned silvery-blue.

Days after her 19th birthday, strange markings appeared around Candlelight’s right eye. Whenever she would experience a strong emotion, her eye’s color would change.

The filly who had injured her eye in the first place, Pumpkin Patch, returned to tell Candle that the markings are a result of powerful dark magic. Pumpkin’s mother is Bone Cold, a very dangerous leader of the High mountain Witch Coven. Pumpkin’s mother used Pumpkin as a channel of sorts, to curse Candlelight into death months after her 19th birthday. 

If Candlelight doesn’t lift the curse off of her soon, she’ll die. Pumpkin feels responsible, so she offers to help Candlelight.

Pumpkin holds all of her trust in a mysterious witch named Red Jasper. Jasper used to be a high-ranking witch of the high Mountain Coven. After Pumpkin escaped the coven and her mother, Jasper wrote her a letter begging for her assistance. Pumpkin Patch returned to Jasper, and helped her escape as well. According to Pumpkin, Red Jasper is extremely powerful, and will know exactly what to do to help them defeat Bone Cold and lift the curse off of Candle.

Originally, their plan was to take the train to Molumn, the far North town at the base of High mountain. But Candlelight got embarrassingly drunk and set their journey back by days. 

At the moment, Pumpkin Patch is preparing a carriage ride to the next town, while Candlelight is, once again, boy crazy.
